Azure Marketplace Onboarding
This guide walks you through subscribing to kAudit on the Azure Marketplace and activating your account for the first time.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, you'll need:
- An active Azure subscription
- The Owner or Contributor role on that subscription (required to complete the SaaS purchase)
- An email address to receive your portal invitation
Step 1 — Find kAudit on Azure Marketplace
- Go to Azure Marketplace and search for kAudit.
- Select the kAudit — SQL Audit Monitoring Platform offer published by Kovoco.
- Review the plans and pricing, then click Get It Now.
Free Trial
kAudit offers a free trial period. Select the trial plan to evaluate the platform before committing to a paid subscription.
Step 2 — Configure your subscription
You'll be redirected to the Azure Portal to complete the SaaS subscription form.
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Subscription | The Azure subscription to bill |
| Resource group | Any resource group (kAudit is a SaaS offer — no Azure resources are deployed) |
| Name | A name for this subscription record (e.g., kaudit-production) |
| Plan | Choose the plan that fits your SQL instance count |
| Billing term | Monthly or annual |
Click Review + Subscribe, then Subscribe to confirm.
Azure processes the subscription. This takes up to 60 seconds.
Step 3 — Activate on the kAudit landing page
After Azure processes your subscription, you'll see a button: Configure account now. Click it.
This redirects you to the kAudit activation page at https://portal.kovoco.net/marketplace/activate.
On this page:
- Verify your subscription details (plan, purchaser email, subscription name).
- Enter your organization name — this becomes your kAudit organization display name.
- Click Activate Subscription.
kAudit provisions your organization, tenant, and license automatically. This takes a few seconds.
Activation window
The activation link is valid for 24 hours. If you miss the window, log in to the Azure Portal, navigate to SaaS subscriptions, find your kAudit subscription, and click Configure account again.
Step 4 — Accept your invitation email
Once your organization is activated, the platform sends an invitation email to the purchaser email address from your Azure account.
From: DoNotReply@kovoco.net
Subject: You're Invited to Join [Your Organization] on kAudit
- Check your inbox (and spam folder) for the invitation email.
- Click Accept Invitation in the email.
- You'll be redirected to the kAudit portal to complete your account setup.
Invitation expiry
Invitations expire after 7 days. If yours has expired, sign in to the portal and request a new invitation from the Users section, or contact support@kovoco.net.
Step 5 — Create your account
The invitation link takes you to a secure account setup form:
- Your email address is pre-filled from the invitation.
- Enter a display name (your full name).
- Create a password that meets the requirements:
- Minimum 8 characters
- Must include uppercase, lowercase, a number, and a special character
- Click Create Account.
You'll be signed in to the kAudit Customer Portal automatically.
Step 6 — What's next?
Your portal access is now active. Continue with setup:
- Create an Agent API Key — required before installing the agent
- Enable SQL Server Audit — configure your SQL Server to write audit files
- Install the kAudit Agent — connect your SQL Server to the platform
- Quick Start Checklist — follow the end-to-end setup guide
Troubleshooting
